OM SVABHAVA SHUDDHA SARVA DHARMA SVABHAVA SHUDDHO HAM
Ah how amazing is this awareness
That beholds its own emptiness and yet from it arises!
How marvellous is this field of interdependence
Whose contemplation stirs the mind of enlightenment.
From the depth of the heart of sadness if one looks at the working of samsara
One’s own and others’ faults are a fountain of sorrow
A poisonous river in flood, inexorably bound for the ocean of suffering
Yet we swim in it as we would in the fragrant pools of royal gardens.
This world and our lives are but a transient movie on a silver screen
Why do you, mind of concepts, take yourself for real?
A real creator of real misery, what a foolish achievement
For one who cherishes itself as a seeker of permanent happiness.
This mystery of voidness cannot be solved for one’s own selfish bliss
But is the secret connection with the world and its infinite beings.
It inspires compassion on the path and enlightenment in the end.
Ignorance of interdependence is the cause of all ruin, inner and outer.
Ah how amazing is this Buddha nature
That beholds its own emptiness and yet from it arises!
How marvellous is this field of interdependence
Whose contemplation stirs the nectar of Bodhicitta.
